No, Innergie notebook adapters do not have batteries built in, and therefore cannot be used without being connected to a power source.

How do I charge my mobile devices using Innergie adapters?
Almost all models of Innergie adapters have at least one 10W USB port built-in, capable of charging most mobile devices. Simply use the original USB charging cable that came with your device, or purchase an Innergie cable.
None of the tips provided in the standard package work with my laptop, how can I get a tip for my laptop?
If your laptop falls within the voltage and wattage support range of an Innergie adapter, but you cannot find a compatible tip within the standard package, we suggest using the Adapter & Tip Finder to request the tip you need. Requested tips are free for customers, with only minimal charges applied for shipping.
How do I know the voltage and wattage requirements of my laptop?
There are two ways to verify the voltage and wattage requirements for your laptop.
Check the label located at the bottom of your laptop. There should be a label or indication of the voltage and current required. Wattage requirements are computed by multiplying voltage by current.(For example: a laptop with the specs of 19V x 3.42A requires 65 watts of power)

Do Innergie adapters support Apple laptops?
Apple laptops utilize a proprietary MagSafe connector that is not currently licensed to any third party. Therefore, Innergie adapters do not currently support Apple laptops. However, iPods, iPhones, and iPads can be charged via USB power ports found onmost Innergie adapter models. To charge your Apple mobile devices, use Apple's USB charging cables, or specific models of the Innergie MagiCable with Apple USB connection.

This is likely because you are using a device that produces wattage above the limitations of our adapters or the adapter you've purchased. Also, we do not recommend using any of our products with devices that have not been tested by our compatibility department. Please refer to Safety for more information.
